When a referred friend books a meeting through the Calendly scheduler on your website, GrowSurf can add them to your referral program and credit the person who sent them. Calendly sends the invitee to your thank-you page with their name and email address in the link, and a GrowSurf code block on that page reads them.
You change one setting on the event type and paste one code block on your thank-you page. The same setup works for an affiliate program. There, GrowSurf credits each lead to the affiliate who sent it.
You need a Calendly Standard plan or higher, and the scheduler must be embedded on your own website. The stand-alone calendly.com link does not work.
In the Program Editor, go to Installation and continue to the step that asks how GrowSurf will know a referred friend signed up. Under Using a form builder? Prep your form first, click the Calendly icon.

The Prep your form window opens with Calendly selected. Keep it open while you work. It lists every step and holds the code you paste later.

In Calendly, edit the event type that is embedded on your website and select More options. Open the Confirmation page section. Under After booking, choose Redirect to an external site and enter the address of your thank-you page.
Turn on Pass event details to your redirected page. That is what puts the invitee’s name and email address in the link. Then click Save changes.
Copy the code block from the Prep your form window and paste it anywhere on your thank-you page. When an invitee lands there, the code reads their email address and name from the link and adds them to your program.
Back in GrowSurf, choose Programmatic as the way GrowSurf will know a referred friend signed up. Then finish the remaining installation steps.
Open your own referral link in a private browser window, then fill out the form. The new person should show up in GrowSurf as referred by you. Visiting the form directly does not add anyone, so test through a referral link.
If Pass event details to your redirected page is off, the link carries no email address and nobody is added. Check it whenever you copy or rebuild the event type.
No. Redirecting invitees to your own page needs Calendly Standard or higher.
Only the invitee’s email address and name.
No. The code adds someone only when GrowSurf can tell who referred them. A visitor who found your Calendly form on their own is not added to your program.
Launch a refer-a-friend or affiliate program that lowers your acquisition costs and builds customer loyalty, with little engineering work.
Trusted by marketing and product teams that grow through customer, user, and partner referrals.
