Each participant’s referral link, referral counts, referrer details, and milestone progress arrive as custom contact fields you can use in any email. Setup is an authorization rather than an API key, so there is nothing to copy and nothing to rotate later. ## Integration Steps ### Authorize GrowSurf in Constant Contact Open **Program Editor > 4. Options > Integrations. Expand the card and select **Connect to Constant Contact**. Use them exactly as shown in your email content. ### Confirm one contact before you send Open a synced contact in Constant Contact and check the GrowSurf fields are filled in. A participant’s GrowSurf activity log records the result of every sync attempt. ## Tips #### One list, deliberately chosen GrowSurf writes to the list you select. Point it at the list your referral emails actually go to, not a staging list you will forget about. #### The prefix is part of the name `custom.` is required. Dropping it renders an empty value rather than an error. #### Connect first, import second Doing it the other way round means backfilling by hand.
