If the balance cannot cover a redemption when a winner unlocks a reward, no Reward Link is sent — the reward is not lost, but the winner sees nothing until you fix it. This guide covers the funding methods and their real costs, the clearing delays that catch teams out, and how to resend redemptions that failed. ## Integration Steps ### Open Add Funds on the Tango Card card Go to **Program Editor > 4. Options > Integrations**, open the Tango Card card, and select **Add Funds**. Choose a funding method and follow the instructions Tango Card shows you. ### Pick the funding method on cost, not convenience - **ACH, wire, or check.** Free. - **Credit card.** A 3.5% processing fee, limited to one transaction a day and $5,000 per transaction. A single $5,000 card deposit — the most Tango Card takes in one transaction — costs $175 in fees that ACH or wire would not charge. Card funding is worth it only when you need the money faster than a transfer will clear. ### Allow for the first deposit to clear A first credit card deposit can take until the end of the next business day to clear, and longer if Tango Card’s security team reviews the card. Later deposits process faster. Fund well ahead of a launch rather than the morning of one. ### Send non-USD funds to the right bank Tango Card uses separate banks per currency. Follow the specific instructions shown inside GrowSurf when you add funds by ACH or wire. A non-USD payment sent to the USD bank is converted before deposit, which can cost you fees or value. If your program currency is not CAD, GBP, or EUR, Tango Card requires you to fund in USD. Your balance then shows as USD in GrowSurf, while your winners still receive gift cards in your program’s currency. ### Confirm the balance landed Select **Back**, then the **Refresh Balance** icon. When the balance updates, the integration is ready. ### Retry redemptions that failed When a Reward Link cannot be sent, GrowSurf emails the program owner, and the reason appears on the participant’s detail page and in their activity log. The two usual causes are a balance that is too low and a dynamic reward rule that matched nothing. Fix the cause, then select **Retry Redemptions** on the Tango Card card. You can also turn on Tango Card alert emails from Notification Preferences on your [account page](https://growsurf.com/account/), so a failure reaches you before a winner does. ## Tips #### Fund for the whole campaign, not the first week The $5,000 per-transaction card limit and the one-a-day rule mean you cannot top up quickly by card mid-launch. Size the deposit for the campaign. #### Turn the alert emails on A failed redemption is invisible to you until someone complains. Turning on Tango Card alerts in Notification Preferences puts it in your inbox instead. #### Know what can and cannot be cancelled Tango Card can cancel unredeemed Reward Links and prepaid Visas. It cannot cancel direct merchant brands once they are issued, so review amounts before you connect a reward.
